Music lessons: the importance of introducing Brazilian music to our youngsters

Music is proven to be one of the most effective way to engage learners. For this young ones, musicalisation came in with a guitar, simple lyrics and lots of rhythms. Children were amazed and wanted more at the end of the lesson.
“Preschoolers and Music: Preschoolers enjoy singing just to be singing. They aren’t self-conscious about their ability and most are eager to let their voices roar. They like songs that repeat words and melodies, use rhythms with a definite beat, and ask them to do things. Preschool children enjoy nursery rhymes and songs about familiar things like toys, animals, play activities, and people. They also like finger plays and nonsense rhymes with or without musical accompaniment."(Bright Horizons Education Team)
At the Brazilian Ethnic School, we incorporate music, curriculum and development to provide real opportunities for these children to really enjoy learning.
